With a view to spread education in Perambalur, the most backward area, the Srinivasan Charitable and Educational Trust was established and registered on 18th January 1994 under the Tamil Nadu Societies Act.

Dhanalakshmi Teacher Training Institute was founded by shri.A.Srinivasan in the year 2006 – 07. The Dhanalakshmi Teacher Training Institute is the 10th institution started under this trust. Spurred by overwhelming enthusiasm and ambitions zeal, Shri.A.Srinivasan has been the harbinger of Literacy Development by being the founder of Dhanalakshmi Teacher Training Institute. To guide the students in the right path, students counselling is being arranged for their benefit. Special classes in physical and mental health, yoga and computer training are being conducted to teacher trainees. Many different clubs and associations are being activated to develop to various skills and compentencies.
